I had my last day of work today, and wrote about it a fair amount, but logjam froze again just as I was thinking about saving (apparently that doesn’t save it). Here are the key points that I had covered in many more (yet beautiful) words:
* Got a good review from manager
* Got taken out to lunch by 12 coworkers
* Felt mysteriously sad leaving work, which is probably good
* Parts of my work will be preserved, parts thrown out after I leave
* Chris Wagner suggested at frisbee that I wear a fake handlebar mustache to work and wax and curl it during meetings, which is the best idea ever.
* I’m going to miss all the high school friends and playing frisbee, but it’ll be good to be back at school, too.
* I got frisbee’d in the face at the last frisbee game, and currently have a fat upper lip
If you want the expanded version of any of these topics, feel free to ask. First come, first serve.
All the dental work ended up costing a little less than $400, but at least it’s out of the way. More incentive for me to sell some of my books online. One more day of work left, back to LU monday morning.
wow, I sure wish I were covered by my parents’ dental insurance, so that I wouldn’t have to spend a week’s pay to go to the dentist.
And yes, though nobody believes me, my mom’s insurance doesn’t pay for students over 19 years of age.
Being a teenager was easy.
I’m completely physically exhausted right now, but I’ll give a tiny update. I just got back from the Cape on Friday (Cape Cod, if you’re not from New England, I guess). I had a good time with my family, including cousins and grandmother on my dad’s side. I also had a chance to play disc golf with the Bombards, my brother, and my cousin, which was quite fun. I drove to the beach in Rhode Island today with 6 friends. A good time was had by all, after the foggy/rainy weather warmed up. The water was actually rather warm, despite what some less hardy beachgoers may have initially stated (*smirk*). I drove them all in the van both ways, and played frisbee for long periods of time in the water, so I’m very tired right now.
In other news, my tan line on my stomach is so well defined that I’m worried that the upper half of my body may just detach and slide off one of these days. I’ll keep you posted.
Next week is my last week of work, which promises to be hectic. I wish I had at least two weeks, because I have two weeks of work to finish in one week. Money would be nice, too, considering that I want to buy dual flats. Ok, too tired to write or program, so maybe I’ll go to sleep or something.
