I’ve been making an effort to expand my music collection in the last few days. Here’s what I’ve been downloading (in no particular order):
Air
Pink Floyd
The Decemberists (I finally got around to it, Tim)
Death Cab for Cutie
Interpol
Ben Harper
Sublime

I still haven’t listened to everything I’ve downloaded, but most of what I’ve heard has been good. Interpol was good but seemed to get mundane after a few tracks, but maybe that’ll change. Nothing has really been bad yet. Most of the names on that list came from getting recommendations on soulseek.

I still need to fill in some holes in my Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay collections, too.

I made some changes to my music cataloging script. It looks at incoming files’ ID3 tags and builds a directory structure of Artist/Album for all the tracks. I made changes so that when I change the tags it moves the files, and when there are < 4 songs in an album, it’ll just put them in the artist’s directory. This last feature is nice when I have only a few songs from an artist, so having it divided by album is silly.
