If I had an evil twin, I imagine he’d look somewhat like this guy:

Creepy!

I finished watching every episode of Arrested Development today (it took a few days). It’s now one of my top few favorite shows. The writing is excellent. The plots sometimes remind me of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but with a much softer edge to it. The acting (and omniscient narration) is also quite good, especially the guest stars, many of whom I knew from other stuff (Heather Graham, James Lipton (Inside the Actor’s Studio), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld), Amy Poehler (SNL), Ed Helms (Daily Show), Ben Stiller, Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Andy Richter, Liza Minnelli, Rob Corddry (Daily Show), Martin Short, and Zach Braff (Scrubs, Garden State)). For those who know the show, IMDB’s trivia page has some interesting stuff.

If you’re bored, check out http://www.liquidsculpture.com. It’s high-speed pictures of liquids being dropped into other liquids… they do some pretty cool things with it. The “Pournography” section is probably the best.

The site seems to have a heavy load, so refresh it if you get an error (or wait a while).

The first half of this week is going to be ridiculously busy. There are so many deadlines all bunched up, and everything I’m working on seems to be really time-consuming. I’m not really stressed about it… it’s just a full schedule, but it means that I’ll have to push most enjoyable things off to later in the week. This is the first night in a long while that I’ve been up until nearly 4, I wonder if this will become more regular. My mind is really slow right now, it’s pretty bad. I was on AIM for a bit very late tonight, but I probably won’t be online much for at least the next few days, so call if you need something.

In other news, I did my homework in LaTeX tonight (if you don’t know what that is, just ignore it), and it was relatively fun. No matter how wrong my answers were, they looked really authoritative on the page.

Signs that it’s a good day for a jurisdiction meeting:
The “word of the day” online is “quorum”.
Um, that’s it, sorry.

The group paper coming out of the summer research project that I worked on has been accepted to the “Document Recognition and Retrieval XIII” conference in San Jose (this winter). The conference is held by the International Society for Optical Engineering.

This means that I’ll have more stuff to work on now (the paper isn’t done), but it’ll be very cool to have something with my name on it.

Avon, CT is the #3 safe place to live in the US according to CNN (with some important qualifiers, but whatever). Everywhere I go seems to come in third place in some list!

From what I can tell, Lehigh doesn’t have a functioning Running Club. I know there used to be one, as it was advertised during my freshman year, but there’s no sign of it online. Has anyone seen signs about this, in the UC, perhaps? I’m looking for people to run with… I’m not training for anything specific right now, I just need to get out.
