Lawrence Lessig has a good presentation about fair use claims with Google Book Seach. His discussion of relevant law and cases is understandable and I highly recommend spending some time watching this.

I’m not sure what I think of it, but Bill O’Reilly’s interview with David Letterman is fun to watch and really awkward. I wonder why Letterman even wanted O’Reilly on the show, since he seems annoyed with most of what he says. Not as fun as watching Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly go head-to-head, but it’ll do.

This blond joke is hilarious. Hadn’t heard that one before.

Daily Show and Colbert Report start back up this week, it’ll be good to have that back. Watch this if you need your fix in the meantime (it’s an older clip, but really good).

Nothing too exciting to report… New Year’s was good, Ogontz has not been looted nor razed as of 1/2/06, though our neighbors are still there, for some reason. I have jury duty on Wednesday in Hartford and next week I’ll be in the greater Boston area (Saugus and Arlington, for those who know where those are) working for my uncle.

Outside of travels, I’ve been playing some games with my brother and Jim, watching documentaries, reading a bit, and working on Runstoppable a lot. Pete’s working on the site now, which has been a big help since I was a bit overwhelmed a little while ago. Hopefully we’ll have another version ready in a week or so. We’ll see.

If you or someone you know is good at web development and might be interested in working on this project, please let me know. The project is at a phase where it could use another developer. Don’t forget, fantastic riches await!
