Design
If you enjoy reading about design, specifically page layout, you will BFD (Best Front Design). It talks about design considerations in newspaper layout, dissecting what they consider a recent best design. WARNING: the site resizes your browser window, which is really annoying, and almost made me not link to it.
Anyway, the more I learn about design, the more I appreciate it. A lot of it is very scientific, much more than I had thought. If you also like this sort of thing, I definitely recommend The Non-Designer’s Design Book (well, unless you are a designer). It taught me a lot of stuff about font selection, alignment, and focus. The book is oriented towards those doing amateur printing, such as a party invitation or advertisement, but the same fundamentals apply to the web.
