I’m waiting for some programs to run here at work, so I’ll use this time to catch up on my journal…
Yesterday I went with Girts and a few Google people on a hike at Point Reyes (north of Muir Woods). The hike totaled at least 14 miles, and my legs are quite exhausted. On the plus side, I got a lot of good pictures from the hike.
You can find all of them in this flickr set, though I’ve included my favorites below. Click the pictures to get a larger version… the better pictures look really good at large size.
Some of the hike was in wooded areas llike this..

There were sevral good views of lakes and hills:

This picture would have been better if that tree weren’t in the way…

As we approached the coast, the terrain became rockier:

This is the rock face that we climbed down to get to the beach.

Obligatory waterfall picture (this waterfall poured onto the beach):

Perhaps my favorite scenic picture from the hike:

I like my camera’s color handling, so I made a point of taking pictures of
flowers at a few points. Click for a closer view… the detail is pretty good.
This is a terrible picture of a deer we saw on the trail…

This is not the same deer…

(probably)
More posts to follow, hopefully…
