I’m not going to make a huge comment on the subject (if you don’t already know what I’m writing about, you probably also don’t care enough to find out), but this quote struck me as particularly angering:

Conservatives defending the Libby commutation point to President Clinton’s 11th-hour pardon of billionaire fugitive Marc Rich. On his last day in office, Clinton granted clemency to Rich, who faced prison time for tax evasion; his former wife, Denise, contributed $70,000 to a fund supporting Hillary Clinton’s Senate bid.

So, conservatives are now looking to Clinton as a standard for what is an isn’t a reasonable action for a president? Those pardons by Clinton were just as wrong as this commutation (and eventual pardon?) is. It’s corruption at its boldest, and it mocks justice.
