New maps feature

OK, last google-related post of the night.

Last week, Google Maps added a feature that I really like and have been wanting for a while. It lets you search for locations and directions at the same time. It sounds confusing, but some examples make the usefulness pretty clear… you can now enter searches like: Grand Central Station to Carnegie Hall (gives directions, no need to look up the address separately) or Lehigh University to beer (it gives a list of places to get beer and how far they are from LU).

Sadly, the Carnegie Hall directions don’t mention anything about practicing…

That’s pretty cool. Personally, I’ve been waiting to be able to click on two locations on a “My Maps” map and get directions from one pointer to the next. That would make my KKPsi maps a lot easier to use. I suppose I should suggest it rather than just assume they’re working on it.

By the way–Haha on the Carnegie Hall directions.
