What’s all this?
This is Matt Casey’s blog.
A bit about me
I graduated from Lehigh University in 2005 and 2007. I started working fulltime at Google in February 2007. Most of my time is spent working on things related to OCR for Google Book Search. In my 20% time I work on 2008 election-related projects. All the opinions on this site are my own, not Google’s.
About this blog
In 2008, I decided to move off of LiveJournal and write on my own site. I liked LiveJournal quite a bit and had been there for nearly 5 years, but I wanted more control, so here I am. I wrote a python script to import all the public posts from a livejournal export into this blog. There are still a few bugs with the conversion, but it’s mostly there.
Design
After trying a large number of wordpress themes, I settled upon Neoclassical because of its good use of space, readable fonts, and rotating image banners. All of the banners are from my own photography. There are 11 banners as of this writing.
