I really like this picture.

I’ve really enjoyed taking and cropping pictures for the header of this blog. I’ve added several pictures from my Summer trips (included below). I think I have enough now and it’s time to start removing some of them. You can see the whole set here… I’m considering removing 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, and 17. Any feedback on those or the new ones is always appreciated.

At the science museum in Barcelona, they had this transparent cube full of ping pong balls bounding around with a strobe light or something, creating a neat effect with a long-exposure photo:

I drove over to Ocean Beach today to go running. The weather was perfect: 60 degrees and sunny with a cool wind. I decided to take my camera with me on the run, and stopped in a few places to take pictures:

My route took me north through Ocean Beach up through Lincoln Park and back, then I meandered a bit in Golden Gate Park (mostly to check out the windmill). I think I totaled somewhere between 3 and 4 miles. I hope to go back there tomorrow to explore more of that end of Golden Gate Park.

Eventually I plan on taking the bus to the beach and running back home through the park, or taking the bus there and running to the presidio to take the bus back. I want to explore a bit more first, though.

After a week of travel, I’m getting ready to head back to SF tomorrow. It’s been a great trip, as I’ve been able to spend time with large portions of my friends and family. I also worked from the Cambridge and New York Google offices, which was enjoyable.
