I’ve been pretty rough on Sarah Palin, so it’s time to say something positive: her name makes some awesome anagrams.

First, it almost makes a perfect one, but there’s one letter i left over: “A Rash Plan”. Ha! So close…

Here are some favorites that actually work:
“Ah, snap… liar!”
“Sharia plan” (Aha! She’s the secret Muslim!)

“Anal parish” also works, but there’s just nowhere good to go with that one.

The phrase “tightening the belt” was used by someone earlier today, in reference to companies reducing their expenditures in tougher economic times. I’d certainly heard the phrase before, but never thought about it. Tightening a belt doesn’t really make you consume less in the short term, it’ll either just make you feel less comfortable or it’s to prevent your pants from falling down. You have to consume less in order to tighten the belt. I don’t know, maybe the difference it subtle, but I’m not using that phrase anymore.
